These are just a couple of tracks i made for a mix for work. Looking over them, they're all pretty gnarly. Anyway some of them You've probably heard. Some i hope not.
Well my first love is electro but my second love has to be Hip-Hop. My first Rap/Hip-Hop experience was when i was very young. I don't remember my exact age but i do know that it was Snoop Dogg. I grew up with a brother who like most white kids in the 90s, assumed he was black. The good thing about this was that i was exposed to some of the best Hip-Hop ever made. And so from there my love of Hip-Hop grew. When i was fourteen i feel in love with artists like Souls of Mischief, Dead Prez, Digable Planets, Naughty by Nature and Danger Doom Aka MF DOOM aka Victor Vaughn. In 2009 my love Hip-Hop continues to grow, now proudly owning every Notorious song ever made.
So this is it, everything i love about Hip-Hop, sure there is a few exceptions, i mean if i were to do the whole thing, it would be about Three Hundred songs.
I've got a few for You today/tonight/tomorrow. The first being Royksopp's 'The Girl and The Robot' remixed by Chateau Marmont. Now i have to be honest with You, I've never really liked a lot of Royksopp's stuff, i thought they were to overrated and just pretty much shit (apart from a couple of tracks). But these days i'm digging quite a lot of their new album. The one thing about Royksopp is, I've never ever liked any remixes of them, so i was very reluctant to post this when i heard it came out and that is why it is so late. But it's pretty chilled, so give it a go.
The next is Kap Bambino. I don't know an awful lot about these guys, i think they're relevantly new on to the "scene". Now i usually don't like this sort of stuff (Which is why You won't see Bionic Commando remixed by Surkin on here, so if You're looking for it fuck off...No i'm just kidding, stay we need the views), to me it just seems like noise, but this track sort of has a grunge feel to it, which i kind of dig.
YEAH YEAH YEAH! This song is hot as shit! It's a remix of one of Interpol's songs, which i didn't know You could do, i don't know anything about the remixers and i tried to find them before and had no luck. This song is fairly old, it was released last year i think....but who gives a fuck, it's awesome, so enjoy.
This song is a remix of Grizzly Bear by Fred Falke. Fred Falke is a funny guy, it seems like whatever he releases today, everyone goes nuts and pounces on...kind of like the twelves? I quite like this song, it's got a nice beat and the vocals are great. CHILLED CHILLED CHILLED
I just thought i'd add this track on because it's really awesome and i really like Interpol right now.
And last but not least. This track is amazing, i've always been in to Hip Hop and even more so as i'm getting older. The thing i love about this track is it's new but it still has that old vibe. ENJOY YO!
This is a trailer for perhaps the greatest movie ever made! It's a cult classic called HEAVY METAL It's about a glowing green ball and it's history. You have to generally be in a certain state to enjoy the full effects of this movie, but either way it's still amazing. If You ever saw the south park episode about Kenny sniffing Cat Pee. Well his hallucination's were based on this movie.
There's a good story about the director of this movie. Apparently he took his current girlfriend to see it when it came out and she never called him back. You just know it's going to be good now!
